Covid-19 Safety for our Hotel Guests

UPDATE 22nd December 2020

Due to the current circumstances surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic...

We can welcome guests from one household dining/staying together, this includes those with a 'Support Bubble'.

We can only serve guests that are dining with us, a reservation is essential. We cannot accept reservations from guests traveling from a Tier Three or Four region. This is for the safety of all our guests, staff and family.

All bookings that have been canceled due to the COVID-19 Restrictions will not be charged any cancellation fees.

As a team we have worked together to ensure we have complied with the ‘Covid-19 Secure’ guidelines. New measures and procedures have been put in place across all aspects of the business, both customer and staff facing. We are proud and delighted to open our doors knowing all our guests will have a safe and enjoyable experience.

We must politely request that if, in the unfortunate event, you or your household experience COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days – such as a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a change to your sense of taste and smell – we ask that you follow the Government advice. Remain at home and contact us to allow your stay to be rescheduled.

  • Please approach the building from the car park, via the arched greenery and enter through the conservatory.
  • Immediately upon arrival sanitiser will be available.
  • Check-in will be conducted at the desk. A member of staff will verbally confirm your name and details. (to comply with Test and Tracing).
  • We will take your temperature with a non-contact temperature thermometer. We will also ask again if you or anyone you have been in contact with, have had symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days.
  • You will be given instructions how to reach your room. If you require help or guidance please follow staff at a distance of 2 meters.
  • Staff will be instructed not to touch your belongings. If you require help, please allow staff to retrieve the necessary PPE. They have been instructed not enter your room, but to leave your belongings at the door.
  • In the room you will find guest information that covers the property, the surrounding area and further measures we have taken.
  • We promise that our housekeepers will have taken care and time to ensure that your bedroom has been meticulously cleaned and fully disinfected, showing extra attention to high-touch areas, such as TV remotes, taps and telephones.
  • We have removed any non-essential items in your bedroom.
  • Tea and coffee facilities will of course be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between arrivals.
  • You can tell us if you prefer that our housekeepers do not enter your room at all during your stay, just let us know when you arrive. We will be happy to provide clean towels and amenities to your door as you wish. Otherwise, housekeeping will only be carried out whilst you are out of the room and in full PPE.
  • For hotel guests the same table in the restaurant will be reserved for the duration of your stay: breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. It will be cleaned and sanitised in between each service.
  • We will ask that all guests observe the social distancing requirements at all times.
  • We advise our hotel guests to use their own bathroom facilities throughout their stay to reduce their risk of transmission.
  • The Haughmond is promoting a ‘Cashless Service’ as much as possible, therefore we ask all guest to pay by debit/credit card.

Due to the developing nature of the current climate, our procedures and operations will be continuously reviewed and promptly updated when required. The information that we are sharing with you about how we will operate may therefore be subject to review and change without notice.

If you have any further concerns or queries, please get in touch via telephone or email and we will be pleased to assist.
